Cory Lee Freeman, known to many as Cory Lee, was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma in 1977. As a toddler he would often wake up his uncle singing Wango Tango. Cory Lee has been playing guitar and writing songs for 26 years. His true passion is writing and recording music. He loves all music and plays a huge variety of styles and genres from the 50’s to today. He enjoys interaction with a live audience and using his talents to bring joy to people’s lives.

When Cory Lee was 16 he opened for Michael Martin Murphy in Tulsa, OK at a fundraiser for tornado victims. Cory Lee opened with three songs that he wrote. He also played at many local clubs in the area.
He comes from a very musically-talented family. His grandfather, Raymond “Buffalo Bud" Short, inspired his love of music. “Buffalo Bud” played and sang at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri for over 20 years. He frequently brought Cory Lee to his shows and let him hang out with the band.
In 1998 Cory Lee sang on stage with Di Scherling, a country and easy listening pianist, entertaining large bus group tours at the Cowboy Café in Branson, MO.
Following ten years of service in the U. S. Navy, Cory Lee earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Production from Fullsail University. He also interned at the legendary Robert Lang Studios in Seattle at this time.
During his travels for the Navy Reserves Cory Lee entertained people in Guam, Hawaii, and San Diego. Numerous bands have enjoyed Cory Lee’s talents on guitar, bass, and lead vocals.
For the last two years he has been performing 3-4 nights a week at Restaurants, Clubs, and Bars all over Kitsap County and the greater Seattle area. He gets 90% of his gigs by word of mouth and through others seeing him perform.
In addition, Cory Lee runs live sound for local bands. He also volunteers to run sound for the KSS jazz choir and theatrical plays. As well as singing with the local barbershop society, the Kitsap Chordsmen.
